On the TEEđź“Ť: Part 3

Thursday Everyday Evangelism

The Power of Prayer

The Scripture:

Matthew 9:37-38 "Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'"

The Devotional:

Have you ever looked around and felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of people who don't know Jesus? It's a huge harvest field out there, and sometimes it can feel like there aren't enough workers to reach them all. But you know what? We've got a secret weapon – prayer!

Jesus Himself told us to ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the field. And let me tell you, that's a prayer He loves to answer. When we lift our friends, our neighbors, and even strangers to the Lord, we invite Him to work in their hearts and lives. We're asking Him to open doors and prepare the way for the good news to be shared. You might be thinking –  "I'm not an evangelist. How can my prayers make a difference?"

The Point to Ponder:

Prayer is powerful! It's not about our own abilities or eloquence; it's about partnering with the One who can move mountains and change hearts.

Make a list of people in your life who don’t know Christ. Commit to praying for them regularly, asking God to open their hearts and send workers to share the gospel with them.
— The Dare

The Reflection:

How have you seen the power of prayer at work in your own life or the lives of others?
