CALL TO WORSHIP [⁞]
Leader: The women came to anoint the body. The men came running to the tomb. On the first day of the week, we look for the risen Christ.
People: We will not be afraid, nor will we look for the living among the dead. We have seen the Lord and we know that He is doing a new thing!
Leader: We join together to praise the God who rolls stones away, the God who brings dead things back to life, and the God who revives, revitalizes, and resurrects all things!
People: We will not be afraid, nor will we look for the living among the dead. We have seen the Lord, and we know that He is doing a new thing!
Leader: Amid violence and illness, amid greed and avarice, amid trauma and grief, and amid cruelty and evil, we gather today because we still believe in the power of the resurrection. We still believe in new life stemming out of old places. We still believe in getting up power!
All: Help us, Risen Lord, to adjust our sights to the new things you are doing in our lives and in our world. Hallelujah – Christ is Risen! Hallelujah, Christ is raising us! Hallelujah! Amen.

PREFACE TO THE DECALOGUE Hymn #69 [⁞]
From all that dwell below the skies,
Let the Creator’s praise arise;
Let the redeemer’s name be sung,
Through every land by every tongue.”
DECALOGUE (Summary) [⁞]
Leader:
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
GLORIA PATRI [⁞]
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (The Apostles Creed) [⁞]
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, and was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day he arose from the dead; he ascended to heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty: from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church Universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Let the Creator’s praise arise;
Let the redeemer’s name be sung,
Through every land by every tongue.”
