From all that dwell below the skies,
Let the Creator’s praise arise;
Let the redeemer’s name be sung,
Through every land by every tongue.”
DECALOGUE (Contemporary) [⁞]
Leader:
And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
People:
Lord, have mercy upon us and incline our hearts to keep this law.
Leader:
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
People:
♫ Lord, have mercy upon us and incline our hearts to keep this law
Leader:
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
People:
♫ Lord, have mercy upon us and incline our hearts to keep this law
Leader:
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: or in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
People:
♫ Lord, have mercy upon us and incline our hearts to keep this law
Hymn:
My soul, be on your guard; Ten thousand foes arise; And hosts of sins are pressing hard to draw you from the skies.
Leader:
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
People:
♫ Lord, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law
Leader:
Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
People:
♫ Lord, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep these laws
Leader:
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.
People:
♫ Lord, have mercy upon us, and write these laws upon our hearts.
Hymn: ♫♫♫
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to thee.
E'en though it be a cross,
That raiseth me
Still all my song shall be,
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to thee.
Leader:
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
GLORIA PATRI [⁞] ♫♫♫
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (The Apostles Creed) [⁞]
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, and was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day he arose from the dead; he ascended to heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty: from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church Universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

THE INVITATION TO DISCIPLESHIP [⁞]
You that do truly and earnestly repent of your sins, and are in love and charity with your neighbor, and intend to lead a new life, following the commandments of God, and walking from henceforth in His Holy ways, draw near with faith and take this holy sacrament to your comfort; and make your humble confession to Almighty God, meekly kneeling.
THE GENERAL CONFESSION
Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus, maker of all things, Judge of all men, we acknowledge and bewail our manifold sins and wickedness which we from time to time most grievously have committed by thought, word, and deed against Thy divine Majesty, provoking most justly Thy wrath and indignation against us. We do earnestly repent and are heartily sorry for these our misdoings; the remembrance of them is grievous unto us. Have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us, most merciful father for thy Son our Lord Jesus sake; forgive us all that is past, and grant that we may ever hereafter serve and please thee in newness of life to the honor and glory of thy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER Matthew 6:9-13♫♫♫♫♫♫♫
“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.”
THE PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
O Lord, our heavenly Father, we, your humble servants, desire your fatherly goodness mercifully to accept this our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; most humbly beseeching you to grant that by the merits and death of your Son, Jesus Christ, and through faith in his blood, we and your whole church may obtain remission of our sins and all other benefits of his passion. And here we offer and present to you, O Lord, ourselves, our souls and bodies, to be a reasonable, holy, and living sacrifice to you; humbly beseeching you that all we who are partakers of this Holy Communion may be filled with your grace and heavenly benediction. And although we be unworthy, through our manifold sins, to offer you any sacrifice, yet we beseech you to accept this our bounden duty and service; not weighing our merits, but pardoning our offenses, through Christ our Lord; by whom and with whom in the unity of the Holy Spirit all honor and glory be to you, O Father, Almighty, world without end. Amen.
